Redness & Vein Reduction at Solis Skinn

Target unwanted vascular lesions, and redness with precision, comfort, and advanced technology.

How Laser Vascular Treatments Work

Laser vascular therapy is an effective, non-invasive way to reduce the appearance of broken capillaries, visible veins, redness, angiomas, and vascular lesions. The Clarity II by Lutronic delivers a specific wavelength of light that is selectively absorbed by oxyhemoglobin (the pigment inside blood vessels).

As the vessel absorbs this energy, it heats up and undergoes controlled coagulation. Over time, the treated vessel collapses and is naturally cleared by the body’s lymphatic systemβ€”leaving the surrounding skin unharmed.

This precise process, known as selective photothermolysis, allows vascular lesions to be treated safely while preserving the integrity of the epidermis.

The Clarity II’s dual-wavelength system (755 nm Alexandrite & 1064 nm Nd:YAG) allows treatment customization across a wide range of vascular concerns and skin types, including deeper, larger, or more stubborn vessels.

What Vascular Concerns Can Be Treated?

Clarity II effectively targets:

  • Active acne

  • Flushing

  • Telangiectasia (broken capillaries)

  • Spider veins

  • Angiomas / cherry angiomas

  • Generalized redness

  • Rosacea-related vascularity

  • Reticular veins

  • Venous lakes

  • Diffuse facial flushing

  • Nasal capillaries

From small facial vessels to deeper leg veins, treatment can be tailored to your specific concerns.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Laser vascular treatments are safe and effective for many clients. Ideal candidates typically:

  • Experience redness or visible vascular lesions they wish to reduce

  • Are not actively tanning or experiencing prolonged sun exposure

  • Have no active infection or open wounds in the area

  • Are not taking photosensitizing medications

  • Understand that vascular lesions may require multiple sessions depending on size and depth

  • Are committed to following proper post-treatment care

During your consultation, I assess your skin type, vascular pattern, and medical history to ensure suitability and create a custom treatment plan.

Why Choose Laser Vascular Reduction?

Targeted, Highly Selective Treatment

The laser energy selectively targets the chromophore within the vessel, leaving surrounding tissue intact. This makes treatments both precise and safe, even in sensitive areas like the cheeks or around the nose.

Advanced Dual-Wavelength Technology

The Clarity II’s 1064 nm wavelength penetrates deeper structures and larger vessels, while the 755 nm wavelength is ideal for more superficial vascularityβ€”allowing for versatile, optimized results.

Faster, More Efficient Sessions

With IntelliTrakβ„’ technology, the laser maintains consistent energy delivery and controlled pulse overlap, resulting in faster sessions without sacrificing accuracy.

Enhanced Comfort With Cryo Cooling

Your treatment is paired with IntelliToneβ„’ cryo-air cooling, protecting the skin and ensuring a significantly more comfortable experience with reduced downtime and minimal risk of post-treatment irritation.

What to Expect During Treatment

  • Most treatments feel like a quick, warm snap, with cooling applied before and after each pulse

  • Treatments are fastβ€”often 5–20 minutes depending on the area

  • Redness may appear immediately after but typically settles within a few hours

  • Vessels may darken temporarily before the body clears them naturally

  • Multiple sessions may be needed for optimal clearance depending on vessel depth and density

Results

Clients typically notice visible improvement after the first session, with continued clearing over the following weeks as the body absorbs treated vessels. Results continue to build with each session for clearer, more even-toned skin.

  • To ensure the safest and most effective results, please follow these guidelines prior to your vascular laser session:

    2–4 Weeks Before Treatment

    • Avoid sun exposure and tanning (including self-tanner). The treatment area must not be tanned or sunburned.

    • Discontinue photosensitizing skincare such as:

      • Retinoids/retinol

      • AHAs/BHAs (glycolic, lactic, salicylic acid)

      • Benzoyl peroxide

      • Hydroquinone

      • Exfoliating scrubs

    • Avoid blood-thinning medications/supplements if medically appropriate (only with physician approval):

      • Aspirin

      • High-dose omega-3

      • Vitamin E

      • Ginkgo biloba
        This helps reduce post-treatment bruising.

    7 Days Before Treatment

    • Avoid any facials, peels, microneedling, or abrasive treatments on the area.

    • Do not undergo Botox or filler in the same area within 1 week (face only).

    • If treating legs, avoid heavy leg workouts 24 hours prior.

    • If you bruise easily, you may begin Arnica (optional) 48 hours before.

    24 Hours Before Treatment

    • Ensure the skin is clean, intact, and free of irritation.

    • Do not apply lotions, oils, deodorant, makeup, or self-tanner to the treatment area.

    • Avoid caffeine and alcohol β€” both may increase sensitivity or swelling.

    • If you have a cold sore history and the treatment is near the mouth, notify your provider for antiviral prophylaxis.

    Day of Treatment

    • Arrive with clean, product-free skin.

    • Avoid pre-treatment workouts or activities that increase body temperature.

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing if treating the legs or body.

  • Proper aftercare helps minimize side effects and supports vessel clearance.

    Immediately After Treatment

    • Mild redness, warmth, swelling, or darkening of vessels is normal.

    • Apply cool compresses (not ice directly on skin) for comfort.

    • Avoid touching, rubbing, or picking at the treated area.

    First 24–48 Hours

    • Avoid heat exposure:

      • Hot showers

      • Saunas

      • Steam rooms

      • Intense exercise

      • Hot tubs

    • Avoid alcohol β€” it can dilate vessels and slow healing.

    • Do not use exfoliating skincare, retinoids, acids, or scrubs.

    • Keep the area moisturized with a gentle, non-active, fragrance-free moisturizer.

    3–7 Days After

    • Vessels may appear darker or more visible before they fade β€” this is normal.

    • Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 30–50 daily (mineral SPF preferred).

    • Continue avoiding retinoids, acids, and exfoliants until the skin is fully calm.

    • If bruising appears, topical Arnica can help speed resolution.

    7–14 Days After

    • Resume active skincare only once there is no lingering redness or sensitivity.

    • Most clients notice improvement as the body begins to clear the treated vessels.

    • Multiple sessions may be needed depending on vessel depth and density.

    When to Contact Your Provider

Contact your provider if you notice:

    • Persistent swelling beyond 72 hours

    • Blistering or unusual discomfort

    • Signs of infection (rare)
